Happy Birthday, Allergy Dish!

It's hard to believe, but it's been one year since we jumped into the blogosphere and Allergy Dish was born!

And, what a year it has been.

Pushing the "publish" button for the first time last summer was truly one of the scariest things I've ever done. Being vulnerable is just hard. It doesn't matter if your gut is screaming at you and you know deep in your heart that it's the right thing to do. But, here's the thing: when we share pieces of ourselves, we inevitably build community. When we talk about our struggles, what scares us, what encourages us and what we've learned along the way, we connect ourselves to others. And, that has meant everything to me this past year. YOU have been the most rewarding part.

Thank you for reading - those of you who are walking this road with us and those who simply want to support families like mine. Thank you for your open hearts, words of encouragement and affirmation that my family isn't alone. Thank you for making me feel a part of something so much bigger than me.

While I started this blog to help others, I'm quite certain that I'm the one whose benefited the most.
