Dairy, Egg & Nut-Free Summer S'more Dip!

One of my kids' most favorite desserts to make - especially during the summer - is s'mores. This gooey treat is the ultimate crowd pleaser and always gets my crew so excited after a night cooking out with family and friends. But, the thing with s'mores is that it also takes a lot of work. A fire is required, in addition to sticky ingredients that must be put together... on sticks... using little hands. And, while so much fun, there are times when the adults of the world just need an easier option!

Enter, s'more DIP! This dessert could not be more simple to make, and it's so much fun! In fact, my twelve year-old daughter and our dear friend's ten year-old made this for our families just the other night all by themselves. And, it was perfect. All you need are three simple ingredients, a pie plate, and about 10 minutes of oven time. Here's how to whip this one up...

S'mores Dip

1 package large marshmallows (you can use small ones, too, but I like how the large work in this recipe better)

1 package of dairy & nut-free chocolate chips (I use Enjoy Life)

1 package of *graham crackers for dipping

*If you are looking for a good top-8 free graham option, Enjoy Life makes honey graham cookies that will work perfectly for dipping in this recipe.

Preheat oven to 350. Pour chocolate chips into the bottom of an 8 or 9-inch pie plate (your layer of chips should be approximately 1 inch thick). Layer marshmallows evenly on top of chocolate chips. If desired, garnish the top of the marshmallows with crushed up graham crackers.

Bake dip in the oven for approximately 10 minutes, or until marshmallows are golden brown and toasted on top. Use your grahams for dipping, and ENJOY!
