It's A Blog Hop! Let's Talk About Cereal For Dinner & Other Freeing Mom Truths...

I'm so happy to hop over to Atlanta Area Mom's Blog today and talk about something near and dear to my heart... No, not allergies (although I'll be tackling that subject over there soon). Instead I am touching on something I think all moms have struggled with from time to time: embracing imperfection.

Oh, yes. I've spent way too many of my past twelve years as a mom trying to reach an unattainable goal - and that is, doing everything right. I want to look like I have it all together. I want my kids to look like they have it all together. And, for us allergy moms, the pressure feels even greater sometimes, doesn't it?

But, you know what? That level of perfection is simply not possible for a house full of little people OR for any mom, especially when you consider all that we all juggle every day. So why do we do this to ourselves? The reality is that so many of the things that we think are important on this journey simply are not.

Sweet mamas, you've GOT this! You are doing an amazing job... And, just for the record: when you think the mom next to you has it all together, the truth is, she's in the exact same place as you!
